★★★☆ Run, don’t walk to your nearest wifi enabled device (or if you are JaPaBo, inefficiently procure a hard copy in the format of your choice) to listen to this gem. For the first couple of tracks, which come out of the gates hard, it’s like you are listening to the best DM album of 1991 you somehow missed, but with better production. By track three, however, it’s curveball time–you may wonder if you skipped to a track from Don Caballero 2 for a few minutes there, both because of the 5/8 instrumetal action, and the Damon Che style 8 armed drumming (the latter of which is actually present for most of the album). Lastly, as if that weren’t enough, you are rewarded with an epic 18 minute closer. Did I mention it’s friggin’ great?
