Re: This is the most metal thing that I have ever seen.
Awesome. Maybe it’s cause we’re getting older, but all I can think about is how much his neck must hurt.
What did ya think of the Septicflesh? Not bad. I also highly recommend the new Vader.

Thanks for this. Having revisited these albums with the “Pathologist’s Report” reissues a few years back, I can say I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment.
As for Surgical Steel, although for nostalgic reasons alone I also would not rate it above Necroticism or Heartwork, I encourage you to give it more time.
3 stars is pretty damned good for a first listen (and it keeps growing in my estimation). And seriously, is not Enemies Of Compassion the most metal “eat the goddamned spinach” you’ve ever heard?
Well, not exactly disagree, but just give a bit more enthusiasm.
I have to disagree with you on this one–I really dig it! (Though it’s complex and needs more listens).
Now I might actually have to listen to this! (which was never going to happen otherwise)
There’s no chance of my listening to this in any format.
I’m occasionally wrong on these first listens, but if I feel the urge to fast forward on a third of the tracks, that’s not a particularly good sign.
I heard 60 seconds of one song on XM, and was so bored I couldn’t take it anymore.
Ouch. I am still making my way through it–has its moments, so 1 star may be a bit harsh. One review was calling it a big sellout, which is absolutely ridiculous.
