Re: This is a project that I wholly endorse
I admire their efforts, but I listened to Frantic and it’s still a shitty song.
BABYMETAL
I saw BABYMETAL live last week and have a ticket for the At the Gates show in three weeks. Babymetal kicked serious ass, performing a nearly two-hour show in front of a sold out arena of 20,000. Aren’t there child labor laws in Japan? Here is the set list:

My proclivity to fix other people’s audio problems is well-known. So I’m excited about this, a note-for-note remake of Metallica’s St. Anger, recorded by guys from Adust and Grace The Skies. No, I’d never heard of them before either, but it’s a great way of getting your name on the map.
Cloud Shugah
This handy tool for generating fake band names is 100% spot-on. I’ll never need to struggle again! (Thanks to @sfbrian for the link.)
For your listening pleasure
Awww yeah, it’s about ten days before we get started with the Arsies. And for your listening pleasure, I’ve put together a TIDAL playlist of all the contenders. (I’ll also be added battle-specific playlists to all our installments as we go along.)
Saturday Night’s Alright!!
Okay, the wife is not feeling well and I have succumbed to the same flu. However, I remain restless and wild and here I am on Saturday night in the man cave. See my cat respond to the new Within Temptation live Blu-Ray. I am now watching the new Judas Priest Blu-Ray!
It’s the little things
How do you make Meshuggah heavier? Slow it down enough to drop the tuning by 4 semitones, that’s how.
Thursday Night
Wife’s asleep. Got a dissertation defense to attend tomorrow. And yet here I am in the JaPaBoCaveTM enjoying Slipknot live @ Download 2009 with my cat Lucifer. R.I.P Paul Gray…
Re: Knotfest Japan Full Report
I well understand the importance of keeping oneself well-fed and hydrated for these grueling festivals. Also, since when are we worrying about what time of day is the start of our drinking hours?
I’ll have to check out Crossfaith — as is not unusual, I’d never heard of them before! And, you’re going to make me re-listen to Korn and Trivium, dammit.
